Today I had the honor of meeting and spending the afternoon with Sweet Little Baby Alexis. She's been sleepy (I'm told) - that was, until I came to visit - then she was wide awake and raring to go. We worked around her schedule, and she was just a precious and priceless and she could be! She put up with multiple outfit changes and changes of venue. Alexis had Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, and her photographer (me) wrapped around her tiny (but long) little fingers.

Cooper at 6 Months

My hubby took one look at the top shot, smiled and said - "Ninja Baby." Sort of cracked me up - Cooper is such a strong, sturdy, and sweet, smiley little guy! I couldn't have asked for a happier little guy to take pictures of today.

TGIF everyone - hope this little man can bring a smile to your face too!!!

Baby Mia - 7 Months

Just two quick peeks to give you an inkling into how sweet little Miss Mia is, and how much she's grown! If there's a way to tell how quickly time passes...I'm thinking it must be by watching a baby change into a little person right before your eyes. Just a few short months ago, when I met Mia, she was this tiny little sleepy girl, and now she's getting up on all fours and getting ready to roll! She goes more backwards than forward now with her crawl, but I think she's going to get the knack pretty quickly. Watch out then world because Mia is a girl who knows what she likes!!

Sneak Peek of OJ

At 2, this little guy is affectionately (I promise) called, "the terrorist" by his Daddy! We started our session in the studio, and we tried to keep him entertained and contained, but he clearly knew he was in charge of this show! And, with those huge brown eyes, who could deny him anything?

Jeff Wignall's The NEW Joy of Digital Photography will be published later this year. For a sneak peek, at least at the cover, check out...This is a huge deal for me. I feel like I've come full circle by being included in this book.

When I bought my first Digital SLR, the book I bought along with it was Jeff's, Joy of Digital Photography. Well, that book led me to www.betterphoto.com and to a class that was then taught by Jeff (by the same name as the book). He was/is an incredible teacher/mentor and friend. His guidance and support helped give me the courage to go forward with my career as a portrait photographer. So, now to have three of my images included in his revised version of the book is a HUGE honor for me. It's the fourth book to be published including some of my images, but it's also the one that will likely bring the biggest smile to my face!

Oh, and also, my little man finally made it into a book! Miss K has been in two of the four already (and her back makes an appearance in this one too!). This will be Evan's first published (in a book at least) image. Of course, Kate still has a firm grip on her lead, but...at least the little man is finally getting included too! As a proud Mommy - it's nice to have both of your kidlets included.

Speaking of which, in the last book I was included in by Vik Orenstein, Baby Carly was in the book on page 5. And, now, in Jeff's book, Carly's baby brother Cooper makes his first appearance in a book! So, another proud Mama gets both of her kids in books too! I just can't wait to hold the finished product in my hands! Looks like I'll have to wait until later this year. No worries though, I will let you know when it hits the shelves!!!
